The pixiv message function features a function that allows several people to converse with each other. When you are invited to an exchange that several people take part in, "メンダコ" will send you a notification announcing that, "You have a request to join another thread."
When you open the request announcement, you have the option of choosing to either take part in the discussion or to cancel.
