What are fan letters?
Fan letters contain impressions on a finished request and can be sent to a creator by fans who requested or co-requested that work.
They can be used to express gratitude at seeing the final result, how you were moved by it, or otherwise convey your passions to the creator.
How do I send a fan letter?
You can send fan letters by clicking "Send fan letter" on the request details page of a finished request.
They can be anywhere from 1 to 3000 characters.
They can only be sent once per request, and within 1 week of that request being completed.
What happens after a fan letter is sent?
- The content of a fan letter is accessible via the request details page, and is only visible to the fan letter sender and the creator it was sent to.
- Others will not be able to see the fan letter, but will see that a fan letter has been sent on the request details page.
- Letters cannot be edited after they've been sent.
- It may take a few days before the creator receives the fan letter. It will display as "Being delivered" in the meantime.
- Letters containing prohibited conduct will not be sent. (For more details on prohibited conduct, please go here)
